The Church is a national monument and the monastery and church where erected between 1132 and 1223 in which time Coimbra was the capital of the new born kingdom of Portugal. The first two kings of Portugal King Afonso Henriques and of his successor, King Sancho I are both burried in the church.

2.The famous university of Coimbra Alta & Sofia
The University of Coimbra is a public research university in Coimbra, Portugal. First established in Lisbon in 1290, it went through a number of relocations until moving permanently to Coimbra in 1537. The university is among the oldest universities in continuous operation in the world, the oldest in Portugal, and played an influential role in the development of higher education in the Portuguese-speaking world. In 2013, UNESCO declared the university a World Heritage Site, noting its architecture, unique culture and traditions, and historical role.
3. Monastery of Santa Clara a Nova – Queen´s of Convent Santa Isabel
The Chapel of Queen Saint Isabel is located in the Largo D. Dinis, in the north western tower of the 18th century castle, where tradition says Queen Saint Isabel died. 4.Parque of Portugal dos Pequenitos – historical museums, cathedrals, typical Portuguese villages in miniatures
Portugal dos Pequenitos can translate as "Portugal of the Little Ones" or "Portugal for the Little Ones". Either one would be appropriate for this Portugal in miniature which will particularly appeal to younger visitors. Founded by Professor Bissaya Barreto, a local doctor and lecturer at the medical school, his goal for the park was to be "a living portrait of what it is to be Portuguese and the Portuguese presence throughout the world". The result is both entertaining and educational with a range of scaled-down versions of Portugal's finest national buildings, traditional regional villages and references to the rest of the Portuguese speaking world.
5.The typpical portuguese venice – Aveiro
Aveiro is known as the Venice of Portugal, because, like the Italian city, it also has an estuary that runs in the centre of the city, where boats known as Moliceiros circulate, which cross the estuary during sightseeing tours. The Aveiro district, in addition to the tourist attractions in the city, has much more to offer in other locations, from beaches to unique sweets in Portugal, which make visiting Aveiro an experience like no other.
