1.Roman Temple of Évora – Temple of Diana

The Roman Temple in Evora is one of the greatest and best preserved roman temples in the Iberian Peninsula. That is why it was considered World Heritage by UNESCO in 1986. This is the ex-libris of the city, a sort of visiting card. And, of course, the most important representative of the Roman remains in Evora.

2.Church of St. Francisco and chapel of bones

The gothic St. Francis Church is even more famous than the city's cathedral, thanks to its mesmerizing Chapel of Bones. Carefully-arranged skulls and bones of about 5000 people cover walls and columns, as 17th-century monks decided to display them. It’s a rather artistic creation, forming decorative patterns, but it arose out of necessity, not for the sake of art.

Arraiolos, the Alentejo village which needs no introduction, located in the heart of the region. The quality of the motifs and unique stitches of Arraiolos carpets as well as the peculiar circular castle put the village on the tourist map.
